I am down 4.4 pounds. I AM UNDER 200 Pounds today! I am so happy! I reached my first "mini" weight goal of 199!
My waist is 36" today. That means I have taken off 6" in 4 weeks. Not too shabby!
Bye Bye 200's! Ciao! That means I am booking my pedi/waxing and a facial ASAP!! My hard work paid off this week! I am feeling so good! Next mini goal...195. That is only 4 pounds away. My next big weight goal is 189. I am 10 pounds from that. I will get my hair cut and styled shorter! Yay.
Yesterday, after my appointment at the surgeons I got a call. They have an opening for the end of the month Feb. But I have to stop feeding. I am not really sure why about that. All he said was 'he was not comfortable with that.' So, long story short. I talked to FVH, and to the Newborn Hotline, and also to a Lactation Specialist. They all say it is OK to go under general and breastfeed (just like when I had my gallbladder out)after Carly was born and she was 11 weeks at the time. Grhhhh. Such OLD SCHOOL thinking!! Get into the new millenium!!
So, I don't know. I am going to talk to my doctor today and maybe he can talk to the surgeon. If not, I will just defer and stay on the list. It is not worth the trouble. I just feel angry and frustrated. Oh well. Life goes on!

Blog update for October 2008
Well, I so obviously did not reach my weight loss goal below. I think because my body is holding onto the last bits of fat for breastfeeding. I didn't anticipate feeding Coco for this long. So, I go with the flow. I ran my first half marathon on October 12, 2008. 1 hour 53 minutes and 36 seconds. Awesome experience. I have now signed up for a second half marathon on February 15, 2009. I am still 150 pounds. So, I have maintained this weight for over 4 months. I am feeling strong.
Blog update for September 7th, 2008.
It is quite possible that I will be at my 'ultimate' goal weight of 135 for my 37th birthday on October 7th, and quite possibly for my half marathon race on the 12 or 19th of October. I finally broke past a 3 month plateau and I feel fabulous. I started back on my program in full force on September 2nd. I am feeling super and really pumped about reaching my goal!
Blog Update for July 5th, 2008:
*I am feeling great at 150 pounds, and getting more lean with my running. I am feeling pretty muscular and therefore feel quite good at where I am at for now.
*My pre-pregnancy weight: 204 pounds
*Top weight of my last EVER pregnancy: 238 pounds
*My current mini-goal is a weight of 199
(to lose 19 pounds to get under 200 pounds for the last time!!) Goal achieved: January 29th 2008 in 4 weeks
Note: I just want to add that I had already lost 19 pounds before the start of the Go-Be-Gone 2008. When I finish the contest I will be adding those 19.2 pounds onto to my total weight loss.
Started Goo-Be-Gone:
January 1st, 2008 (weight 218.8) in my sixth week postpartum and I am currently nursing on demand.
Goo-Be-Gone 2008 ends in 3 months:
April 1, 2008 (hopefully 20-30 pounds lost by then!)
**** At the halfway mark I have lost about 30 pounds (and have already met my original goal for April 1st 2008)
I hope to lose between 10-15 more pounds by April 1st for the FINAL weigh in.****I met this goal 2 weeks before the end of GBG.

I am Cathy, a photographer, wife and mom. I am 37 years old stay at home mom to six young kids that are ages 10,8,6,4,3 and 21 months.
I promised myself that after the birth of our last baby (She was born on November 16th 2007) that I would finally lose the weight (I weighted 238 pounds!) and I have lost the majority of the weight. By June 2008 I weighed 150 pounds.

Blog update for December 2008
Here I am up about 10 pounds (almost 10 pounds) and feeling yuck. Not enough running or caring about what I am putting into my mouth. That is all going to stop! I am going to knock those pounds away, plus a final 10! I am looking forward to a fresh start! I want to wear my size 6 jeans again!

About the nursing...I don't understand why you have to quit. Why are you not allowed to pump and discard if the anesthetic is the issue? Or does nursing effect your blood flow and complicate the vein surgery? My doctor never told me to quit with Hillarie if I had to have that kidney surgery, except for the less 'hassle' aspect. I was torn to, in the end I was so glad that I didn't quit
